Regarding the tragedy that struck Sekolah Seri Cemerlang. Sekolah Seri Cemerlang is a Private Educational Schools registered with the Ministry of Education and actually it has been closed for quite some time but the building is still there until the day of the tragedy....29th May 2010.

I was on my way to the new Demak KFC...the one and only KFC with drive thru in Sarawak....(advertisement lah pulakk!!!), when I saw a thick black smoke from just across the road within the housing area....

The address :
Lot 459, Blok 14, Lorong Bakti 1a, Jalan Bakti, 93050 Petra Jaya, Kuching, Malaysia

Never knew that the building was once Sekolah Seri Cemerlang, until today when I saw the image of the tragedy in one of my colleague hp. They say the culprit is a teenager and the building now being used as a place for them to 'hisap gam'. (Eloklah tu....dah sejuk2 gian hisap gam....nak panas, pergi bakar lah pulak, nasib baik tak rentung diri sendiri)

Honestly, this is the first time I  manage to see a bulding on fire....live!!!Luckily, my friend got it in her handphone as on that day I did not bring my camera along.....

KUDOS TO MY FRIEND VANNESSA RANI, FOR THE PICTURES....U CAN BE AS GOOD AS KARAM SINGH WALIA, HEHEHE, JUST A JOKE MY FRIEND!!!

...mayau loves ONE CENT

 Petua...Petua....

We cannot stop mosquitoes lay eggs at any stagnant water in drains/ponds or water collected in waste pails, tanks, tins, used tyres etc. etc.  Of course if you have fish inside the tanks/containers then there should be no problem.

Do you know that there is a very simple and very economical way to destroy the mosquitoes' eggs and not let them hatch into larvae.  Very very simple, just put in few 1 cent copper coins into the tanks/containers then it will solve all your problems. Because in accordance to Japanese Research Scientists, they found the mosquitoes eggs will be destroyed by a kind of mineral discharge from the copper.

DON'T BELIEVE, Try it by yourself and even the small snails also will not visit the containers (with copper coins) collected with stagnant water.  Your will observe the water collected in the containers will be very clean and clear.

Furthermore, no thief will try to steal the one cent!!!!

....mayau loves SIMPLE SOLUTIONS!!

This may sound funny but in could be applied in reality.
Simple Solutions for Complex Problems

The Difference between FOCUSING on PROBLEMS and FOCUSING on SOLUTIONS

Case # 1 : When NASA began the launch of astronauts into space, they found out that the pens would not work at zero gravity (ink will not flow down to the writing surface).

Solution # 1 : To solve this problem, it took them one decade and $12 million. They developed a pen that worked at zero gravity, upside down, underwater, in practically any surface including crystal and in a temperature range from below freezing to over 300 degrees C.

Solution # 2 : And what did the Russians do...?? They used a pencil. (hahahahaha...a really cheap solution and an evidence that MAYBEEEEE.....Russians are brighter than AMERICANS....erm, Malaysians should learn from Russians!!)

Case # 2 : One of the most memorable case studies on Japanese management was the case of the empty soapbox, which happened in one of Japan 's biggest cosmetics companies. The company received a complaint that a consumer had bought a soapbox that was empty.

Immediately the authorities isolated the problem to the assembly Line, which transported all the packaged boxes of soap to the delivery department. For some reason, one soapbox went through the assembly line empty.

Management asked its engineers to solve the problem.

Solution # 1 : Post-haste, the engineers worked hard to devise an X-ray machine with high-resolution monitors manned by two people to watch all the soapboxes that passed through the line to make sure they were not empty. No doubt, they worked hard and they worked fast but they spent a whoopee amount to do so.

Solution # 2 : But when a rank-and-file employee in a small company was posed with the same problem, he did not get into complications of X-rays, etc., but instead came out with another solution.

He bought a strong industrial electric fan and pointed it at the assembly line. He switched the fan on, and as each soapbox passed the fan, it simply blew the empty boxes out of the line.

LOL....AND ALL OF US THINK THE HIGHER THE EDUCATION, THE BRIGHTER ONE WILL BE, NOPE...EXPERIENCE IN LIFE TEACHES MORE!!!!

Moral
· Always look for simple solutions.
· Devise the simplest possible solution that solves the problems.
· Always focus on solutions & not on problems
